UKRAINE HITS RUSSIA’S LARGEST OIL REFINERY IN DEEPEST STRIKE INSIDE RUSSIAN TERRITORY

Ukrainian forces executed their deepest attack into Russia on Monday, hitting the Omsk Oil Refinery 2,700 kilometers from the border. The drone strike damaged critical units at the country’s largest fuel facility, disrupting a vital supply line for the Russian military.

Omsk is the largest fuel production facility in Russia. The strike damaged critical equipment at the site, according to Ukraine’s Special Operations Forces.

Operations specifically disabled the primary oil refining unit. Officials identified this module as the most vital component of the plant.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed that a fire erupted following the drone impact.

Digital footage from the area documented a substantial column of smoke and flames rising from the industrial compound.

Strategic Fuel Production Disrupted

The Omsk facility operates with a design capacity of approximately 22 million metric tons of crude oil annually.

The site manufactures gasoline, diesel, and aviation kerosene. These petroleum outputs directly supply the Russian military.

Before this operation, the Siberian site was considered beyond the operational range of Kyiv’s deep-strike capabilities.

Broadening the Energy Campaign

The attack means Ukrainian forces have now hit 11 of the largest petrol producers operating within the Russian Federation.

Prior to Monday, Omsk was one of only two top-tier facilities untouched by drone operations.

The Angarsk Petrochemical Company in the Irkutsk region is now the single remaining top-ten refinery in Russia to avoid an attack.

Gazprom Neft controls the Omsk installation.

Corporate representatives and local plant management have declined to issue an official statement on the strike and the refinery’s current operational status.
