Mon 09 March 2020:

A man suspected of having coronavirus in Iran’s northern city of Rasht in Gilan province collapsed on the ground outside of a hospital that denied him entry due to a shortage of space, according to a video circulating on social media.

Gilan has become one of the epicenters of the coronavirus outbreak in Iran.

While Iran’s health ministry announced on Sunday that the death toll from coronavirus for the whole country is 194, the health minister’s representative in Gilan, Mohammad Hossein Ghorbani, said that more than 200 have died in Gilan alone.

A man was seen lying on the ground outside of Rasoul Akram hospital in the city of Rasht in Gilan province, in a video circulating on social media.

Another man is heard saying that the hospital refused to admit the man on the ground as the hospital had hit maximum capacity.
