Tue 07 June 2022:

On Tuesday, the founder of a banned far-right terror organisation in the United Kingdom was sentenced to 8.5 years in prison.

Last month, Alex Davies, the founder of National Action, was convicted on terrorism charges. At the court, he was dubbed the “extremist’s extremist”

Davies is the last of the proscribed group’s members to be charged with terrorism.

According to counter-terrorism authorities, the group dressed up as Nazi SS stormtroopers and traveled the country, participating in flash protests that often turned violent.

In May 2016, Davies was seen shouting into a megaphone in front of a banner containing the words “Refugees not welcome: Hitler was right.”

The National Action was proscribed as a terror organization in December 2016, and its various members, including former and active members of British security forces and army were charged with terrorism offences.

The murder of Labour MP Jo Cox by Thomas Mair in June 2016 was praised by the anti-Semitic and white nationalist organisation.

The organization calls itself a “National Socialist youth organization.” Former Home Secretary Amber Rudd, on the other hand, referred to it as “racist, anti-Semitic, and homophobic.”

“It has absolutely no place in a Britain that works for everyone,” she said.
