The two discussed plans to launch Turksat 5B, Turkey’s next communications satellite.

In January, SpaceX launched the Turksat 5A satellite into orbit with its Falcon 9 rocket.

They talked about expanding their cooperation in space technologies and making long-term investments, such as in the production of lithium batteries for Turkish electric vehicles.

Musk, who overtook Amazon founder Jeff Bezos this year to become the world’s wealthiest person, wields impact on Earth with his Tesla electric car company and beyond our planet with his SpaceX rockets.
