SUPPORT FOR AUSTRALIA’S PM MORRISON DROPPED TO 18-MONTH LOW

According to the latest Newspoll released on Sunday night, Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison’s popularity rating has dropped to its lowest level since March 2020.

Morrison’s personal approval rating has fallen into negative territory for the first time since the coronavirus hit Australia.

According to the poll, voter satisfaction with Morrison’s handling of the epidemic has plummeted from 52 percent in mid-July to 48 percent, down from a record-high of 85 percent in April 2020.

On a two-party preferred basis, Newspoll found that the Opposition Labor Party led the Coalition 53-47, its equal-largest lead since the 2019 election.
