UK BARS ANTI-MUSLIM INFLUENCER VALENTINA GOMEZ, HAILED AS ‘TRUE WARRIOR’ IN ISRAEL

Tue 21 April 2026:

The UK has barred Valentina Gomez, the anti-Muslim influencer notorious for inflammatory and racist comments about Muslims, including repeatedly describing them as “rapists”, from entering the country ahead of Tommy Robinson’s latest rally.

Gomez was initially granted a UK electronic travel authorisation (ETA), allowing her to travel to Britain, before ministers later withdrew it on the grounds that her presence “would not be conducive to the public good”.

The reversal came after backlash over the decision to clear her entry in the first place, a move that shocked many Muslims and triggered accusations of double standards in the Home Office’s approach to hate speech. The Muslim Council of Britain noted that others had been denied entry to the UK for rhetoric targeting different faith groups and questioned why Gomez had been treated differently.

Muslim Women’s Network UK urged the home secretary, Shabana Mahmood, to refuse Gomez entry on the grounds that her record of anti-Muslim incitement clearly risked community safety and cohesion. The group pointed to her public burning of the Qur’an and repeated derogatory attacks on Muslims, arguing that permitting her to address a British far-right rally would normalise religious and racial hatred.

Gomez has built a profile around inflammatory videos and speeches in which she demonises Muslims as violent outsiders. During her US congressional campaign, she released a video showing herself burning a copy of the Qur’an with a flamethrower while declaring that Islam must be stopped “once and for all”.

An outspoken supporter of Israel, Gomez used a visit to the country to publicly showcase her backing for Israel’s genocide in Gaza. In one video posed on social media, she filmed Israeli bombardment while eating popcorn and said she was looking forward to meeting Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Gomez’s alignment with Israel was also publicly embraced by Israeli lawmaker Ohad Tal, who shared a photo with Gomez and described her as “a true warrior and a dear friend”, thanking her for her “support” and “moral clarity”.”

In September, the Labour government allowed Gomez  to speak at Robinson’s unite the kingdom rally, where she said that “rapist Muslims” were taking over Britain. She urged the crowd to “fight for this nation” and accused police of “looking the other way” while the country was being “raped into submission”.

Gomez’s appearance at that earlier rally raised serious questions about how a figure with such a record of anti-Muslim incitement was allowed a platform in Britain, especially by Labour who claims to oppose racism, particularly when others have been denied entry for far less.

After news of the ban emerged, Gomez responded with more abuse, saying on X that she would still come to England “on a boat”. In an accompanying video, she racially abused Mahmood and claimed she was being blocked because she was “not coming to rape or kill little girls”.

The government’s eventual intervention is likely to be welcomed by many Muslim groups. But the larger question that is being asked is why was a serial Qur’an-burner and anti-Muslim hate preacher granted permission in the first place?
