QUEEN LOOKING FOR ‘CALM’ SECURITY EXPERT

The Queen is looking to hire a security expert at Buckingham Palace.

It will be a £25,000-a-year, five-day-a-week job – doing 37 and a half hours – for a fixed period of a year.

Applicants will need to have the “ability to remain calm and level-headed under pressure.” They will also have to be able to “demonstrate good judgment and sound decision making in a fast-paced environment”.

The role will be in part of the team which oversees the vetting procedures for everyone working in the Royal residence. They also carry out the same duty at Windsor Castle, Sandringham and Balmoral, according to The Mirror.

 

The job advert reads: “It’s knowing that you’re helping to protect a world-famous institution.”

But hopefuls will have to move fast as applications need to be in by Sunday. Royal bosses will be interviewing candidates by August 30.

The advert continues: “As part of a dedicated team, you’ll undertake verification checks that meet the diverse needs of our organization, creating a safe and secure environment for all. The standards you aim for will be the biggest challenge, and the biggest reward. And every day you’ll deliver vital work that has an impact across the Royal Household.”

According to the advert, applicants will also need a degree and must have some security experience. “To excel, you’ll need to be naturally tenacious and enquiring, with a detail orientated and accurate approach to your work,” it concludes.
